Every Rotary club has stories worth sharing. Across Southern Colorado, Rotarians are building playgrounds, funding scholarships, mentoring students, feeding families, improving communities, and creating lasting change through Service Above Self.

The District 5470 Story Showcase highlights the people, projects, and moments that bring Rotary’s impact to life. These stories help inspire clubs, strengthen public image, celebrate volunteers, and show our communities what Rotary looks like in action. 

We invite clubs throughout Rotary District 5470 to submit stories and photos from service projects, events, programs, fundraisers, scholarships, youth activities, and community partnerships.

Whether it is a large districtwide effort or a small act of kindness that changed someone’s day, we want to share it.

What to Submit

Please include:

Story Information

• Name of your Rotary club
• Your name
• Phone number
• Email address
• Title of the project, event, or activity
• A short description of the project or story

Helpful questions to answer:

• Who benefited?
• What challenge or need existed?
• What action did your club take?
• Why was the project important?
• What was the outcome or impact?
• Approximately how many people were helped?
• Who were the project leaders or partners involved?

You may submit a polished story or simple notes and bullet points. We can help shape the final story for publication.

Photo Guidelines 

Photos are one of the best ways to showcase Rotary in action.

Please send:

• High-resolution original photos whenever possible
• Action photos that show members volunteering, engaging, building, serving, mentoring, or interacting naturally
• A variety of images if available

Please also include:

• Photo captions
• Names of people in the photo (left to right if possible)
• Brief description of what is happening
• Location of the project or event

By submitting photos, you confirm that you have permission to share and publish them for Rotary District 5470 communications, including websites, newsletters, presentations, and social media.
