21 Years of Service, Friendship and Community in Cedaredge

For 21 years, Marsha Bryan has been part of the Rotary Club of Cedaredge, watching the club grow, welcoming new members and helping make a difference throughout the Surface Creek Valley.

Marsha's Rotary journey began when a dear friend and client, who was serving as a district governor in the Basalt/Aspen area, encouraged her to join. At the time, she became only the second woman to join the Cedaredge club.

More than two decades later, she reflects with pride on how far the club has come.

"Over the past two decades, it has been an absolute privilege to watch our small club grow into the dynamic, cohesive, and deeply community-oriented group we are today," Marsha shares.

She has seen firsthand how Rotary brings people together to accomplish remarkable things. From international service projects to scholarships for local students, support for businesses and assistance to nonprofit organizations, the Cedaredge club continues to make a meaningful impact.

Marsha currently serves as a club director and secretary of the Rotary Foundation. She also remains actively involved in some of the club's favorite traditions, including its Applefest booth, Community Christmas Dinner and annual Rotary Golf Tournament.

Applefest holds particularly special memories for Marsha. A photo from last year's event captures her alongside her two great-granddaughters, illustrating how Rotary service can become a family tradition. She also fondly remembers the many years her daughter helped sell apple pies at the event.

Another cherished memory takes her back to The Merc, where she sold Rotary raffle tickets while former club member Phil Ellsworth played his harmonica nearby. These are the moments of friendship and connection that have made her Rotary experience so meaningful.

Looking ahead, Marsha hopes to see the Cedaredge club continue to grow, strengthen its ties throughout the community and develop new events that combine fun with successful fundraising.

Her 21 years of service are a reminder that Rotary is about much more than projects and meetings. It's about relationships, shared experiences and the lasting difference people can make when they work together.

And Marsha has a simple invitation for anyone who sees her at a community event: Stop and say hello. She would love to share how Rotary is making a difference in Cedaredge.
